RapidKeen brass plate is a thick, solid flat brass stock supplied from 5 to 35 mm, starting around 3/16 inch and measured directly in inches or millimetres. Also searched as thick brass plate, solid brass plate, flat brass plate and brass plate stock, it is rigid and weighty, machines cleanly, brazes well and polishes to a warm brass finish — the choice for structural, load-bearing and machined parts rather than thin formed work.
Brass plate covers the thick, rigid range from 5 to 35 mm (about 3/16 inch and up). Unlike thin brass sheet, which is sold by gauge, solid brass plate is specified directly by its inch or millimetre thickness so engineers and machinists can select an exact heavy section for the job.
Stock-size flat brass plate, including 36 in × 96 in plates in natural mill finish, ready for sawing or machining.
Brass plate cut to your exact length and width as square or rectangular blanks, reducing waste and setup time in the workshop.
Mill finish as standard in an as-rolled, rigid temper, with optional brushed or polished surface for visible structural pieces.
A heavy, solid section that holds shape under load — suited to mounts, supports, fixtures and structural components.
Saws, mills, drills, taps and turns predictably, so brass plate blanks move quickly into finished machined parts.
Dense, substantial feel that works for bases, risers, counterweights and parts needing real mass and stability.
Resists normal atmospheric corrosion without rusting and buffs to a bright, lasting brass lustre when polished.
Thick brass plate is the working material behind solid base and mounting plates, flanges, wear pads, jigs and fixtures and a wide range of CNC-machined components. Its combination of strength, clean machinability and a classic brass appearance also makes it a popular choice for substantial signage, engraving stock, marine and outdoor hardware and statement decorative pieces that need real thickness.

Send the thickness, width and length your drawing calls for and brass plate is cut to size as ready-to-machine blanks. Standard plate sizes ship from stock, while custom dimensions, edge work or finishes are produced to order based on fabrication complexity.
Processing: in-stock standard brass plate orders are dispatched within 1–5 business days. Custom-cut or made-to-order plate needs extra processing time that increases with fabrication difficulty.
Transit: after the order ships, delivery normally takes 7–15 days.
Custom brass plate is cut or processed to your exact dimensions. Once cutting or fabrication has started, a custom order cannot be cancelled, returned or exchanged. Please confirm thickness, finish, width and length before ordering.
Brass plate is the thick, rigid material from about 3/16 in up (this range, 5–35 mm) used for structure and machining. Thinner, gauge-measured flat brass below that is ordered as brass sheet for forming and decorative work.
Gauge numbers describe thin sheet. Thick solid plate is specified directly in inch or millimetre thickness so heavy sections can be chosen accurately for engineering and machining.
Choose 1/4 in and thicker for load-bearing base and mounting plates; lighter supports and trim can use the thinner end of the plate range, while very compact thick sections may be ordered as brass block.
Yes — standard 36 in × 96 in plate is available, and pieces can be saw-cut to your exact width and length as ready-to-machine rectangular blanks.
Yes. Thick brass plate saws, mills, drills and taps predictably and cleanly, which is why it is a common choice for fixtures, flanges and production-machined parts.
