Why Use Self-Adhesive Copper Foil Tape?

Self-adhesive copper foil tape combines a high-purity copper foil layer with a peel-and-stick acrylic backing, so you get a continuous conductive shield simply by pressing it into place. Copper foil tape is lightweight, flexible and conformable, wraps curves and cables, and the exposed copper face is solderable. It is the go-to material for blocking electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference, building ground paths and draining static charge across electronics, transformers and enclosures.

Choose by Conductivity

The single most important choice is whether current needs to travel through the adhesive. Both forms below are self-adhesive copper foil tape — they differ only in the adhesive layer.

Single-Conductive

Conductive on the exposed copper face with a non-conductive acrylic adhesive that insulates the bonded side. The cost-effective choice for general shielding, wrapping and repairs where current does not cross the glue line.
