Large Diameter 6061-T6 Aluminum Round Bar, 80–100mm Billet
This collection covers large diameter 6061 aluminum round bar from 80mm to 100mm: solid, T6 heat-treated bar used as billet stock and sliced round blanks for mold blocks, heavy flanges, housings, and parts machined entirely from solid. These heavy sections are chosen when a component must be carved out of one continuous piece of aluminum rather than welded or assembled.
Every length is true solid 6061 aluminum rod — never tube, never cast — supplied as stock lengths, sawn billet blocks, or cut aluminum bar stock and round blanks from RapidKeen. Need diameters above 100mm? See the note below for sizes up to 600mm.

Why Designers Start From Large 6061 Billet
At 80–100mm, a large diameter 6061 aluminum round bar is really a block of machinable metal. Designers specify it when a part needs deep concentric bores, wide bolt circles, thick walls, or a one-piece body that cannot tolerate welds or fastener joints — mold and die blocks, heavy housings, end caps, wheels, and mounting flanges. In the T6 temper the solid section stays rigid under clamp and service loads, and at roughly one third the density of steel it keeps machine tables, rotating assemblies, and finished equipment far lighter. Solid 6061-T6 billet also machines far more predictably than castings: no porosity surprises, consistent hardness from face to core, and a clean response to welding, anodizing, and other finishing.
Round Bars and Round Blanks (Discs / Slugs)
The same large diameter 6061 aluminum round bar can be supplied as long billet or sliced into round blanks — thick discs or slugs cut to your required thickness. Round blanks are the efficient starting shape for face-turned parts such as end caps and lid plates, wheel and pulley blanks, piston and gland discs, bearing retainers, flange plates, and round mold inserts. Sawing the discs before they reach your shop saves machine time and material handling, while full billet lengths suit shops that prefer to slice their own blanks.

What This Range Is Used For
Machining, Welding & Finishing
Large 6061-T6 aluminum round bar is built for aggressive stock removal: facing, deep boring, contoured turning, and wide pocket milling all cut with light, continuous chips, so a billet block reaches finished shape much faster than steel, with far less wear on tooling. The solid section supports concentric bores, dense bolt patterns, cross-holes, and annular grooves from minimal setups. It welds by MIG or TIG with 6061 or 4043 filler, noting the local reduction of T6 strength near the weld, and it finishes by bead blasting, brushing, polishing, powder coating, or clear and colored anodizing with even results across the large surface area.

Ordering, Sawing & Cut Length
Choose any diameter from 80mm to 100mm, then order full stock lengths, sawn billet blocks, or sliced round blanks at the thickness you need. Heavy sections are sawn square and packed to protect the machined surface. Single one-off blocks and production quantities of aluminum bar stock are both available. For diameters above 100mm up to 600mm, contact us to confirm stock and lead time before ordering.
Quick Questions
Bar, billet, or round blank — what is the difference? It is the same solid 6061-T6 round stock: long lengths are bar or billet, and thick slices cut from it are round blanks (discs or slugs) ready for face turning.
Do you stock above 100mm? Sizes above 100mm, up to 600mm and including 4 inch and larger, are arranged on request — contact us with diameter, length or disc thickness, and quantity.
Is this extruded or forged? Online stock in 80–100mm is solid 6061-T6 round bar; tell us if your drawing calls for forged billet and we will advise on availability.
Solid or hollow? Fully solid round stock — never tube, pipe, or casting.
In-stock, standard large diameter 6061-T6 aluminum round bar in 80–100mm is prepared and shipped within 1–5 business days.
Custom-cut, sawn blank, or processed orders require extra time based on processing complexity; the exact lead time depends on the size and quantity ordered, and sizes above 100mm are quoted individually.
After shipment, delivery to US addresses typically takes 7–15 days, and a tracking number is provided as soon as the order leaves our warehouse.
