We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
Solid rectangular copper flat bar and copper busbar bar, selected by thickness × width in millimeters and inches, supplied in standard or cut-to-length sections.
Pure copper 110 flat bar — also called rectangular copper bar, copper flat stock, copper busbar bar, or solid copper bus bar — is a straight, solid copper bar whose cross-section is rectangular: wider than it is thick, drawn from 99.9% pure copper 110. The broad, flat faces create large contact areas for bolted and clamped connections, which is why flat bar is the default conductor for busbars, grounding straps, shunts, switchgear links, and transformer and panel connections. It is also widely used for brackets, edging, decorative trim, and fabricated copper parts that need a flat, straight, stable section.
Flat bar is ordered by thickness (T) × width (W), with both dimensions shown in millimeters and inch equivalents. Each thickness is offered in multiple widths, and pure copper 110 flat bar is supplied in standard straight lengths or cut to the exact length your assembly requires across the United States.
Pure copper 110 is commercial-grade 99.9% pure copper valued for high electrical and thermal conductivity, natural corrosion resistance, and easy machining, drilling, bending, and joining. In flat bar form it is a wrought solid product with a constant rectangular section. The defining feature is geometry: thickness is a smaller fraction of width than a square bar, but the section remains a solid bar rather than a thin, flexible strip. The two wide faces give clean, flat contact surfaces for joints and busbars, and the section is rigid enough to stand and mount without support. US buyers search this stock as “copper flat bar,” “rectangular copper bar,” “copper busbar bar,” “flat copper bus bar,” and “solid copper flat stock.”
Flat bar is selected by choosing a thickness and a matching width from the product variants. The standard thickness range is shown below; each thickness is available in multiple widths, and live variants reflect the T × W combinations actually stocked.
| Thickness (mm) | Approx. inch | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| 2 mm | 0.079" (≈5/64") | Thin straps, shims, light ground links, trim |
| 3 mm | 0.118" (≈1/8") | Small busbars, flexible-adjacent straps, brackets |
| 4 mm | 0.157" (≈5/32") | Panel conductors, terminal links, edging |
| 5 mm | 0.197" (≈3/16") | Ground straps, switchgear links, connectors |
| 6 mm | 0.236" (≈1/4") | Medium busbars, riser links, machine parts |
| 8 mm | 0.315" (≈5/16") | Distribution busbars, clamp and holder parts |
| 10 mm | 0.394" (≈3/8") | Heavy busbars, transformer connections |
| 12 mm | 0.472" (≈1/2") | Power conductors, welding fixtures, rails |
| 15 mm | 0.591" (≈19/32") | Main grounding bars, rectifier links |
| 20 mm | 0.787" (≈13/16") | Heavy power distribution, furnace conductors |
| 25 mm | 0.984" (≈1") | Largest busbars, process and electrode bars |
Each thickness is supplied in several widths; select the exact T × W combination from the variant list. Equal-edge sections (thickness = width) are supplied as square bar, round sections as round bar, and wide thin flat-rolled material as sheet or plate in the copper bar and rod collection.
Select the T × W combination from the variants, matching the drawing or the existing busbar being replaced. Thickness drives current capacity; width sets the contact face and fit.
For drilled, punched, or bent busbars, note the bolt pattern and installation space; flat bar is supplied in straight lengths ready for in-house or custom fabrication.
Order standard sticks or cut-to-length sections in millimeters or inches. Repeated identical busbar and strap pieces can be supplied ready to install.
Pure copper 110 flat bar saws and shears cleanly, drills and punches for bolted connections, and bends flatwise or edgewise with suitable tooling. It solders, brazes, and welds readily for permanent joints, and its wide flat faces polish brightly for decorative trim or remain bare for industrial use. Flat copper busbar needs no plating in many indoor and atmospheric environments; exposed pieces develop a stable patina over time. For bends, the flat section forms more easily across the wide face than edgewise, which is standard practice when running busbars around panel corners.
Pure copper 110 flat bar is supplied in standard straight lengths or cut to the specified length in millimeters or inches. Repeated busbar sections, ground straps, connector blanks, and trim pieces can be cut from the same T × W section so they arrive ready for drilling, bending, or installation. Non-standard T × W combinations or parts requiring additional processing are handled as custom orders, with handling time extended according to the difficulty and complexity of the work.
Standard (in-stock) pure copper 110 flat bar ships within 1–5 business days.
Custom-cut or processed orders require additional handling time based on processing difficulty and complexity.
After shipment, delivery typically takes 7–15 days to arrive, depending on the destination.
By thickness × width (T × W) in a solid rectangular section — for example a thin wide bar or a thick narrow bar. Equal-edge sections are square bar, not flat bar.
Its broad flat faces create large, low-resistance contact areas for bolted joints, and the rectangular section dissipates heat well and aligns neatly in panels and switchgear.
Yes. It is a fully solid 99.9% pure copper 110 rectangular section; hollow rectangular stock is supplied as rectangular tube, and wide thin panels are sheet or plate.
Use thickness for current capacity and strength and width for contact area and available panel space, then select the matching T × W variant; dimensions are shown in millimeters and inches.
Yes. Flat bar is supplied in standard sticks or cut to specified lengths, and the flat faces drill and punch cleanly for busbar and grounding connections.
Yes. Pure copper 110 flat bar bends with suitable tooling, more easily across the wide face than edgewise, so busbars can be formed around corners in cabinets and distribution boards.
You may return items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
