We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
Pure copper 110 hex bar — also called hexagonal copper bar, copper hex rod, or six-sided copper bar stock — is a solid, straight-length copper bar with a regular hexagonal cross-section, drawn from 99.9% pure copper 110. Because its six flat faces already provide built-in wrench flats, copper hex bar is the standard blank when a part must be gripped by a spanner or nut, or when a CNC shop wants to machine bolts, nuts, fittings, and valve components without milling flats onto round stock. It combines the conductivity and corrosion resistance of pure copper 110 with the practical, grip-friendly shape of hexagonal bar.
Hex bar is measured across the flats (AF) rather than by diameter, and every size is shown in both millimeters and inch equivalents. Pure copper 110 hex bar is supplied in standard straight lengths or cut to the exact length your job requires, ready for turning, threading, and fitting production across the United States.
Pure copper 110 is commercial-grade 99.9% pure copper chosen for high electrical and thermal conductivity, natural corrosion resistance, and good machining, forming, and joining behavior. In hex bar form it is a wrought solid product with six equal flat faces and a constant hexagonal section along its full length. The six flats give two key advantages: hand tools and spanners can grip the finished part without slipping, and a lathe operator can turn a hex bar into a bolt, nut, nipple, or fitting using the full cross-section with minimal waste. Buyers search this material as “copper hex bar,” “hexagonal copper bar,” “copper hex rod,” and “copper hex stock.”
The table lists common pure copper 110 hex bar AF sizes with approximate inch equivalents and typical uses. Select the across-flats size as your product variant, then specify length. Set live variants to the exact AF sizes you stock.
| Across flats (mm) | Approx. inch (AF) | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| 6 mm | ≈1/4" | Small bolts, screws, terminal fittings |
| 8 mm | ≈5/16" | Small nuts, nipples, electrical fittings |
| 10 mm | ≈3/8" | Bolts, studs, connector bodies, pins |
| 12 mm | ≈1/2" | Fittings, valve stems, ground connectors |
| 14 mm | ≈9/16" | Couplings, threaded fasteners, spacers |
| 16 mm | ≈5/8" | Bolt and nut blanks, junction fittings |
| 17 mm | ≈11/16" | Plumbing and gas fitting internals |
| 19 mm | ≈3/4" | Heavy bolts, lug bodies, valve parts |
| 22 mm | ≈7/8" | Threaded connectors, large fittings |
| 24 mm | ≈15/16" | Heavy nuts, clamp and gland parts |
| 27 mm | ≈1-1/16" | Large valve stems, industrial fittings |
| 30 mm | ≈1-3/16" | Heavy coupling and flange hardware |
| 36 mm | ≈1-7/16" | Large industrial fasteners, electrode fittings |
For round cross-section stock see pure copper 110 round bar; for equal-edge sections see square bar, and for rectangular sections see flat bar in the copper bar and rod collection.
Hex bar is specified by the distance between two opposite flat faces (AF), not point-to-point. Match the AF size in the table to the wrench size or drawing dimension.
For threaded fasteners and turned fittings, select the AF size that gives the required wrench flat while leaving enough material for the turned body and thread.
Specify standard sticks or cut blanks in millimeters or inches. Repeated identical short pieces can be supplied ready for the lathe.
Pure copper 110 hex bar and hexagonal copper rod are widely used for copper bolts, screws, threaded studs, and nuts; compression fittings, pipe nipples, and unions; valve stems, gland nuts, bonnet fittings, and plug and cock components; electrical connectors and lugs with wrench flats; grounding and bonding connectors and clamps; busbar connector hardware; terminal and lug bodies; battery and welding cable fittings; gas and plumbing fittings; marine and corrosion-resistant fasteners; heat-conducting plugs and nozzles; welding and electrode holders; contact tips and nozzle bodies; switchgear and junction hardware; and general CNC turning and screw-machine work where the finished part needs both conductivity and hexagonal gripping faces.
Pure copper 110 hex bar cuts and machines with sharp high-speed steel or carbide tooling and is well suited to CNC lathes and screw machines. It turns, drills, taps, and threads into copper fasteners and fittings; the six flats index naturally in collets and fixtures. The bar solders and brazes easily for permanent fittings and can be bent hot or cold with suitable equipment. The natural mill surface can be left as machined, polished for decorative hardware, or used bare where copper’s corrosion resistance is sufficient; exposed copper develops a stable patina over time.
Pure copper 110 hex bar is supplied in standard straight lengths or cut to your specified length in millimeters or inches. Short blanks for CNC fastener runs, repeated fitting lengths, and single prototypes can all be cut from the same AF size, so parts arrive ready for turning and threading. AF sizes outside the standard range or parts requiring additional processing are handled as custom orders, with handling time extended according to the difficulty and complexity of the work.
Standard (in-stock) pure copper 110 hex bar ships within 1–5 business days.
Custom-cut or processed orders require additional handling time based on processing difficulty and complexity.
After shipment, delivery typically takes 7–15 days to arrive, depending on the destination.
Across flats is the distance between two opposite flat faces of the hexagon — the same dimension as the wrench size that fits the bar. Hex bar is ordered by AF, not by the point-to-point dimension.
Hex bar supplies six flat wrench faces from the start, making it the direct blank for bolts, nuts, fittings, valve stems, and connectors that must be gripped, without machining flats onto round stock.
Yes. It is a fully solid 99.9% pure copper 110 hexagonal section for machining and fasteners; hollow copper stock is supplied as tube.
Yes. Choose the AF size and specify length; copper hex bar is supplied in standard sticks or cut into short blanks ready for CNC turning and threading.
Yes. Both are pure copper 110 with the same high conductivity; the hex shape changes the form and grip rather than the conductive properties of the material.

You may return items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
